Dyslexia Remediation, ELA Tutoring, & Editing Services
LRA's mission is to help each student achieve academic success in whatever area they struggle most. Students will be taught in a multi-sensory and explicit way, so that they retain what they learn. The goal is for the student's learning to transfer outside of the tutoring session.
Dyslexia Remediation
An assessment/evaluation will be provided before beginning dyslexia remediation.
Structured, explicit, and systematic reading remediation for students who fall anywhere on the dyslexia spectrum from mild to profound. ​
The Orton Gillingham method and approach is implemented in each session to help the student build fluency and automaticity in reading.​
Reading is a science and there is a structured and cumulative way it must be taught. In the OG method, foundational skills such as encoding and decoding are taught along with higher level literacy as the sessions begin to build.​​​​

In person tutoring preferred and recommended.
Zoom tutoring can be made available if the student is unable to attend in person.

Sessions begin at $65.00
$65.00 for ONE 50 minute weekly meeting.
$120.00 for TWO 50 minute weekly meetings.
$160.00 for THREE 50 minute weekly meetings.

Biweekly to triweekly remediation meetings are recommended for those experiencing academic failure and needing intense language therapy.
English Language Arts Tutoring
Do you need help with grammar, spelling, vocabulary, parts of speech, sentence patterns, diagramming, sentence building, essays, and more?

Do you struggle with identifying noun phrases and predicate phrases in the sentence?

Are you able to differentiate between determiners, adjectives, pronouns, adverbs, conjunctions, and prepositions?

Are you able to easily construct sentences that accurately convey your thoughts?

ELA tutoring offers help and assistance in whatever area the student is the weakest, so that each session is custom tailored to meet the student's individual needs.

$100.00 for TWO 40 minute weekly meetings.

Academic Editing Services tailored to your individual needs.

Do you need help improving the grammar, sentence structure, and editorial compliance of your paper?
​
Do you need help polishing and editing down your thoughts?
​
Do you need help with word choice, organization, and strength of writing arguments?
​
Send in any project/assignment/essay via email for a full edit and markup. Your work will be reviewed and checked for spelling errors, broken grammar, typographical errors, poor sentence structure, and weak thesis statements.
​
You will receive a final edited manuscript in which all the errors have been corrected and the clarity, flow, and readability of the paper is improved. You will also receive a working draft, in which all the errors have been corrected in color on the rough draft, so that you can track the revisions and adjustments that have been made.
